Summer Days Out at Discovery

The Look Out Discovery Centre, Bracknel is a great place to visit for some hands on educational fun - for all the family.

With more than 90 hands on science and discovery activities, all waiting to be pulled, pushed or prodded! The hands on activities are mainly aimed towards primary school and pre-school children but, there is something for all ages.

Can you really leave your shadow on the wall? Why not make a mini animation, fire up a hydrogen rocket, build an unfinished house, launch a hot air balloon or create circuits... plus, much much more!

There are ongoing science shows for families at weekends and Bracknell Forest school holidays, with May half term and the summer holidays seeing the return of The Yucky You show, highlighting all the disgusting things about your body you always wanted to know more about! Entry to the show is £1.85 per person - in addition to the main admission price, and suitable to children of all ages that are able to sit down for up to ½ hour, with four shows a day.

The Look Out Discovery Centre is set in the picturesque Swinley Forest, which has over 1,000 hectares of woodland. Outside activities include an  adventure play area, orienteering course, walks and trails and a picnic area. Open daily from 10am -5pm (except 24th-26th December). Just off J3, M3 or J10, M4.
