If you're between 7and 11 years, and you love watching movies, sign up to be a film critic at this year's Children's Film Festival. This year's festival includes screenings, workshops, activities and other fun events celebrating film of all kinds. Booking ahead is essential.

The London Children’s Film Festival, the only London wide international film festival just for kids is looking for 10 children aged between 7 and 11 to be this year’s festival Young Jurors.
The Young Jury is the only jury of the festival and it’s their job to watch a special selection of films from the festival programme, analyse them, write reviews and decide on the Best Feature Film and Best Short Film awards. The Young Jurors will have a session with a professional film critic to learn the tools of the trade, and opportunities to meet members of the press and the stars of the films.
What’s the commitment?
The Young Jury needs to be available for 3 days in Half Term (25, 26, 27 October) plus all the weekend days of the Festival (30 and 31 October and 6 and 7 November).
- On all of these dates, Jurors need to be free for the whole day.
- All Young Juror activities take place at the Barbican.
- The programme is run by Barbican Creative Learning.
How to apply to be a Young Juror
- Go to the London Childrens Film Festival website ( www.lcff.co.uk ) to download the form. Candidates need to explain in 50 words or less why they want to be a Juror.
- Deadline of applications: 13 October 2010. The London Children’s Film Festival will be in touch with successful candidates by 18 October.
