Bluebells Nursery School opens in Battersea

Bluebells Nursery school in Battersea, which opens its doors in September 2011, has developed a magical garden for nature loving children.  With containers for tomatoes and strawberries and their very own camomile lawn, parents have already commented on how much their children have enjoyed being in the garden and learning about growing their own food.

For founders Kate Palmer and Joanna Wright, who have long-term experience working for nurseries in Kensington and Chelsea, setting up their own Montessori nursery has been a long term ambition.  And they were both delighted when they came across the space in All Saints Church, located adjacent to Battersea Park, which had previously hosted a popular mother and toddlers group.

Bluebells Nursery offers flexible sessions from Monday-Friday between 9am-3.30pm, and on Fridays 9am-12pm.  Additiional after school clubs such as dance, music and french are being organised over the summer which will help parents who may need to work a longer day.

Links are being forged with local prep schools - particularly Newton Prep and Hill House - so that children are well prepared for local prep schools' admissions processes.

Kate and Joanne have organised for "taster sessions" on Thursdays.  Children are welcome to explore the nursery and use the facilities whilst parents can enjoy complimentary coffee and cake and find out more. If possible please let them know if you intend to come along so they know how much cake to bake! For more information call 020 7720 2010.
