Preventing the summer learning loss

How do you prevent the phenomena known as "summer brain drain" when children are out of school for 6 weeks in the summer? The secret is to make learning fun and disguise it as games - and that's exactly what the Explore Learning centres provide to families across the UK. Special offer: keep up the good work over the summer, and get 25% off your first month when you join in July!

Explore Learning centres provide maths and English tuition to children aged 5-14 years, and are designed to improve knowledge, confidence and enjoyment of learning.  Children make ongoing academic progress, and the vibrant atmosphere keeps them engaged and focused, enabling them to have fun while they learn.

The summer period is an ideal time to start Explore membership as research has shown that two-thirds of children fall behind over the summer holidays. Attending just once or twice a week will help children retain all the skills they have been working to master in school and prepare them for the new term ahead. Each Explore member has an individualised learning programme tailored to meet their needs, and typically makes a gain of one academic year in just six months of membership.  All of their programmes are mapped to the National Curriculum and the individual focus allows children to work at their own pace - whether they are finding school tricky or top of the class.
