Le Hérisson provides the opportunity for pupils to be immersed in the French language. As an école homolguée, children from Le Hérisson are guaranteed a place when entering a French primary school either in the UK or abroad.

In addition to an AEFE accredited French education for 3-6 year old children, the school also offers an option of bilingual education for 2-4 year olds. This then allows families the choice to further their children's education either within the French Maternelle curriculum by moving smoothly to the French system of education or to follow a British or international education in the UK or further afield.

The early years curriculum at Le Hérisson is a carefully considered balance between learning through play, child initiated activities and formal learning. They provide a wide range of educational activities largely following Montessori principles, carefully selected to stimulate children's ever-expanding minds. They have a successful Wednesday English Club and have also recently introduced a new music room to their light and spacious classrooms which also now include a new wellbeing space.
