Boulle International helps London families

When French families have to relocate to London their search goes far beyond finding a home within walking distance of the Lycee in South Kensington.

The experience of living and working in a new country has the potential to be enriching for parents and children alike. And with more schools offering a bi-lingual education, the International Baccalaureate, or following the French curriculum (the CNED syllabus) many families are now looking in and around Kentish Town, Clapham, Hammersmith, Fulham, Chiswick or Ealing.

Alongside these families, helping them make these life decisions is a company called Boulle International, run by Marie-Cecile Boulle, who for 16 years has been settling families into London life.

“There’s much more to our service than simply providing a list of properties. Our nature is to nurture, taking time to explain schooling options, which for parents is a priority. Village life and local shops also have real relevance for families who value a good local butcher or a friendly hairdresser.”

Marie-Cecile is approached by many landlords who want to know what French families like in terms of interiors and fittings. “Landlords have realised what good tenants the French are. They stay for an average of three years, take great care of their homes and really like to settle into London village life quickly. Continental families often look to buy their own home, bringing a substantial deposit and are chain free, so sales rarely fall through."

Due to a real need, Marie-Cecile will soon run cross-cultural workshops. “When the broadband service doesn’t work, many don’t realise that, in the UK, being overly confrontational doesn’t get the service sorted quicker. This new service has been created for families and individuals who wish to fast track their communication skills, written and oral, both in their professional and personal lives.
